The idea of death was something that fascinated Claudia more and more as she aged in years, so she insisted on visiting cemeteries. Visiting with the dead.. most of which were long forgotten since their bloodlines had died out.. seemed like it brought back some of Claudia's humanity. Not that she had cared about it.. she was quite happy being in the Blood, however, she enjoyed the way that cemeteries made her feel, and so she kept going.
Her favorite was St Louis Cemetery. She loved how the mausoleums made the area look. It was so ancient..so dark..so beautiful. She was lying on top of one of the stone graves that sat above the grass, and she was staring up at the sky. She wasn't worried that Lestat and Louis would wonder where she'd gone..there weren't many places she'd go without them alone. They'd find her eventually.

Earlier in the evening Lestat had torn the flat apart while looking for Claudia. Her little disappearing acts were starting to play with his last nerve. Some nights she would never be missing, other nights it would take them almost till dawn to find her again. He was almost to the point of tearing his hair out when he finally went to Louis. "Your daughter." He spat. "Is missing. Once again."

Louis had been taking care of some business in his study, when Lestat can barging in. He had smiled and gotten up swiftly, walking a very angry Lestat out of the house and down the dimly lit street they lived on. My daughter. He thought as they walked and Lestat rambled. Claudia was only his daughter and his alone when Lestat was angry with her. Every other part of the day, she was theirs.
As they walked the streets of New Orleans, Lestat looking down nearly every alleyway and street, Louis continued walking. He knew exactly where she ran off to, but he wouldn't tell Lestat that. By now, he knew Claudia like the back of his own hand, and in turn, knew they would find her in the cemetery. "Come Lestat. Calm down." he said, opening the cemetery gate with ease and allowing Lestat to enter before him.

Claudia could hear voices, thanks to her finely tuned hearing, near the entrance of the cemetery. She knew who the disembodied voices belonged to, and by the tone of Lestat's, she could also tell that she was likely in trouble. Rolling her eyes with a sigh, she sat up, and moved off of the tombstone that she was lying on. She weaved her way through the cemetery, and stopped beside a large angel made of marble. "Papa Louis, Papa Lestat," she greeted each of them with a deviously sweet smile. "I hope I didn't worry you.." Her lashes fluttered innocently.
However, Claudia, as always, was far from innocent for the most part.

Lestat followed Louis, not really noticing that the man was obviously leading them in a direction he knew. Finally they arrived at the cemetery, and before even entering Lestat pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and placed it over his mouth and nose. While he didn't need to breath he still found the stench from the cemetery ghastly. When Claudia finally appeared Lestat could feel his blood boil, if such a thing could happen.
"Claudia." He paused for a moment to attempt to gain composure, but it was of no use. "Where on earth have you been? You know that you should not seek out of the apartment. You could have been seen, could have been hurt!" By the end of his speech his arms were flailing wildly.

Louis simply stood in place, flashing Claudia a soft grin and keeping his chuckles to himself. He admired her spirit and knew that no matter what they did at this point, she would do as she pleased. She was quite old now, and knew that she wasn't a child. Therefore, she should be treated as an adult for it was not her fault that she resembled a young girl.
Louis placed his hands in their perspective pockets and walked to stand next to Lestat. "Lestat, she was not that far away, and it's not as if she wandered into a heavily populated area. What harm could befall her in a cemtery?" He placed a hand on Lestat's shoulder and patted it gently. "Calm."

Claudia met Louis' eyes and gave him the smallest of smiles. She knew that he was on her side.. he was always on her side. To him, she was his little girl. But to Lestat.. he saw right through her..and that was the only problem the two of them had with each other. Still though, she did love both of her papas, and she didn't want them to be angry with her. She just wanted to do whatever she wanted to do without question. "I'm sorry, Papa," She stepped close to Lestat, and she wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly. "Please don't be angry." She looked up at him, still trying to feign innocence. Something she was far too good at. "We can go find a nice pretty young thing for you to feast on. Wouldn't that be nice? I can pretend to have lost my mama again.. that always works."

Lestat scowled at Louis' little pat on the shoulder. Everything was most certainly not alright. Claudia was a little bloodthirsty hellion, just like himself, and he knew that if she wanted to get into trouble that she would, and she would do it perfectly. He watched her carefully as she apologized, and was half surprised that she hugged him in an attempt to calm him down.
He sighed, and stroked her back gently with one hand. "You are forgiven." He said nonchalantly. He did perk up however when she mentioned finding him someone to eat. "I suppose that would be nice." He murmured, however he was still cross. "Still Claudia, you should not go off wandering willy nilly."

As he watched Claudia effortlessly defuse the situation on her own, Louis couldn't help but smile. She had always known how to work Lestat, even better than he did at times. The simple fact that someone so innocent looking could be so conniving and brilliant made him proud of her. At least, compared to the beginning, he knew she could hold her own if she ever had the need to.
He gave Lestat a small pat on the back and walked to stand opposite both of them, smiling from ear to ear. "I think we could all use a little something at this point." Louis locked eyes with Claudia and held out his arms as if to ask for a hug of his own, almost knowing that she would come running to him immediately.

Claudia knew instantly that her manipulation skills were as sharp as ever. She leaned her head back and looked up at Lestat, one of her beloved papas, and she gave him her sweetest smile. "I promise. No more wandering willy..willy.. what was that last part?" She asked with furrowed brows and a light tilt of her head. Either way, it was a lie.. she would likely do the same thing the next night, if she had felt like it. She'd at least tell one of them, though..and it would probably be Loius.
Speaking of which, he, along with Lestat, had agreed that her plan of finding someone to feast on. She turned and rushed to him when he held out his arms, and she flung her own dainty arms around his shoulders, wanting him to lift her. She never discriminated between her papas, unless given a reason, but she always had a special connection with each of them. She shared her sweet, innocence with Louis and her passion for killing and lust for blood with Lestat. They were one big happy family. "I'm hungry for a red head, I think.. could I have one?"

Lestat gazed down at her, his eyes narrowed only slightly. He could tell that she was up to something, but he still was not quite sure what that was. Knowing her it could be a vast number of things. "Nilly." He muttered as he stuffed his handkerchief back into his pocket, as he had gotten used to the stench of decomposition. "Willy nilly." Internally he admitted that he sounded rather daft, but still, this was Claudia, a vampire who like him longed for the hunt and the kill.
When Louis mentioned that they all could use something, Lestat had to fight to keep from looking surprised. It still shocked him, even after all of these years, that Louis was finally hunting again. He would give Claudia that, her presence had finally broken Louis out of his rat eating stupor he had lived in for so many years. He gave a soft smile to his two fledglings before clearing his throat. "Whatever we are planning on I suggest we do it quickly, before the stench of this places settles into our clothing."

Louis watched with a smirk on his face as Claudia continued to work over Lestat, speaking in cute tones and attempting to change the subject completely. Of course, as usual, it worked perfectly. Lestat was so focused on quenching his hunger and exiting the cemetery that Louis was sure he wasn't even thinking about how angry he was with Claudia. He truly did admire how complex her little mind was and how quickly she could defuse an argument.
Louis chuckled as Claudia jumped into his arms, softly lifting her off the ground and holding her gently against him. He rubbed her back gently and placed a soft, tender kiss on her forehead and glanced over at Lestat, chuckling at his last remark. He flashed him a small smile and gently placed Claudia back on the ground. "Oh, come Lestat. The stench isn't going to follow us out of the graveyard. Mortals can't even smell this, what makes you think it's potent enough to accompany us home?"

While in Louis' arms, she turned her attention back to Lestat. "Yes! Nilly, that's it." She could sense Lestat's irritation with her, but she knew it would eventually fade. It always faded. She'd merely appeal to him later with a new song that she had wrote for him. Her eyes then drifted back to Louis while he was speaking to Lestat. Adding on to Louis's statement, Claudia chimed in. "He does have a point, papa.. I can't have my new gown smelling of freshly cut grass and decomposing flesh," she fluttered her lashes as a little girl would while pouting. "Come, i'll get us supper."
Her feet wiggled, signaling that she wanted to be placed down on to the ground so that she could walk ahead. This way, she could scope out the area to see if she could find some bleeding heart that would care for a child who had just lost her mama.

Lestat glared at Louis. "This is no laughing matter." He muttered, before he pulled his handkerchief out of his pocket and used it to cover his mouth and nose once more. "The stench is foul." He muttered again. However when Claudia chimed in he smiled under the handkerchief. Finally, someone agreed with him.
"At least someone agrees with me." His eyes turned towards Claudia. "Speaking of which Claudia, why do you insist on coming to this place? It's filthy, and disgusting, and smells terrible."

Louis took Claudia's wiggling as a sign and placed her gently back down on the ground, ensuring that she had her footing before completely releasing her. He stood up straight again and placed both hands in his pockets, turning towards the exit as he spoke. "Very, well." he said, sighing and walking moving towards the gate. "I don't understand what the big issue is here. The smell is faint to me, so it's rather unnoticeable."
He turned back towards Lestat, chuckling to himself as he spoke to Claudia in a rather dramatic fashion. Louis really couldn't understand what the big issue was with the cemetery. He understood, on some level, why Claudia enjoyed coming there. It was peaceful, quiet, and barely anyone bothered you. For a vampire, is was an incredibly decent place to get some alone time.
