Shilo nodded when he asked about the storm. "Yeah.. apparently so.." she felt a little defeated at the whole...independence thing. She sat down in a chair that she had always found comfortable. She had often taken naps in that chair, and it was still as comfortable as she had remembered. She had laid the pillow and blanket down for Graves should he want it, and she used the other blanket to cover up with, herself. "I hope you don't mind me sleeping down here too. I just can't handle it yet up there. I'm not ready."
Once a few changes had been made, it would be better. She was sure of it. But it would take some hard work before she would be comfortable enough in the house again. "Graves? You should know that you can stay here as long as you want. It's nice having someone around."

He watched her get comfortable in a nearby chair and then sighed slightly. His coat was still on the floor. He was half surprised that she had not asked about that. It was folded up into a neat little rectangle after all. He pulled at one of the strings on his shirt and nodded slowly. "Nah, I don't mind kid. Better watch me though, might not be able to keep my hands to myself." He shot her a grin and then shifted his gaze to one of the windows. He had no idea where that came from. She wasn't one of his street whores, and he knew that.
He smiled softly when she mentioned that he could stay there with her, for as long as he wanted. "Thanks for the offer kid, I'll take you up on that.

Shilo had definitely noticed the coat on the floor. She figured that he had been curled up there.. The couch hadn't looked slept on, and he just seemed like the type who preferred a floor to furniture. Still though, she wouldn't make a move to sleep on the sofa, just in case he decided to allow himself some comfort. When he made the comment about how he might not be able to keep his hands to himself, Shilo blinked. Of course he was joking, but it came out of left field. She laughed - a genuine laugh, and she shook her head. "Graves, why would you have to worry about keeping your hands off of little ol' me when you've got yourself a harem?" She asked teasingly.

"I told you the harem isn't actually..." He trailed off. She was joking back. Obviously, from her genuine laugh. Graves smiled at the laugh, and the fact that she was joking, and decided to joke right back. "You haven't been touched by surgery, you are still pure, which is delectable."

Shilo quirked a brow, waiting for Graves to figure out that she was only teasing. When he finally got it, she grinned, and placed a pillow behind her head. "I'm never going to have surgery...and i'm certainly not ever getting injected with zydrate. No offense to your business, but I've been filled with enough toxins to last a lifetime. So I guess untouched by needles and scalpels i'll forever be." She closed her eyes, and a small smile formed again. "You think i'm delectable?"

He chuckled as she poked slight fun at his business. "No offense taken kid, I get that it isn't the best way to make a living, but I have no other choice." He would spare her the gory details, at least unless she asked for them. "You're rare. The only person I know that has never had at least one surgery." Himself included. "So yes, perhaps I do."

As much as Shilo was flattered, she was also now curious. That was something she'd always been guilty of.. forever being curious. "Have you ever had surgeries?" She asked, eyeing him suspiciously. He was incredibly handsome. She couldn't imagine someone taking a scalpel to that face. "If you don't mind me asking, that is.." It was probably a pretty personal topic, in hindsight.

Graves nodded. "I don't mind at all." He stood and moved so that she could easily see his hands in the dim light of the house. He flipped his hands so that they were palm up. "I got my fingerprints removed." He wiggled his fingers in front of her. "That's all."

She pushed her blanket away, and she leaned forward to see his hand. "Woah..." she mused in awe. "I didn't even know that was a thing someone could do.. Well, at least it wasn't a drastic surgery." She shrugged. "Have you ever actually taken Zydrate yourself?" She was enjoying this too much.. she didn't want to sleep. And so, she lifted her blanket and pillow, and carried them to the sofa, so that the two of them could talk easier.

Graves sat back down at his spot on the sofa and watched as she moved to sit on the sofa as well. "I have..." He didn't want to go into the particulars of it, but he would if she asked about it. "As for you I know that you have not had any surgeries, nor have you taken Zydrate. You are asking questions I already know the answer to."

Although she was curious, she wasn't curious enough to ever want to try it herself. In fact, she quickly skipped away from the subject all together for now. Instead, she focused on what he said about asking questions she knew the answer to. "Well, since I seem to be the one asking questions.. Why don't you start asking some?" She asked in a soft voice. She'd be willing to answer anything at this point.. she was finished with secrets completely.

Graves gave a soft chuckle. "Me? Come up with questions. Kid, I'm probably the most socially awkward person on the planet. Plus frankly I know not to ask about your father, or godmother, I'm too scared to ask about your own mother, or the illness you have, had?" He cocked his head to the side.

Shilo smirked when he mentioned that he was socially awkward. Not to mention, there weren't many questions that could be asked if one wanted to be sensitive to another's emotions. However, the part about her disease, she wanted to definitely clear up. "Didn't have at all, actually." She spoke with a small shrug. "My father had been basically poisoning me.. Keeping me here. I was healthy the whole time... I never actually had the blood disease." It was the first time she had actually spoke of it to anyone else after she found out. It actually felt good to say it out loud in a strange way. "The whole time.. i could have been out there."

Graves blinked and watched her carefully. "Is that so?" He moved slightly on the couch and watched her carefully. "I can't believe that a father would actually do that. From what I remember of my father he wouldn't have done that. Did he ever give you a reason behind it?"

Territory had been delved in to that Shilo would have once ran away from..but now she knew it was okay to talk about it. She was safe - or at least she felt safe - enough to relax enough to answer truthfully. "I didn't really get much of a chance to talk about it...but he did it in some weird way of showing his love. He didn't want to be alone, and since he lost my mother, he refused to lose me." She had been looking down at her knees that had been pulled up to her chest, but now her gaze lifted to meet his. "I'm glad you're here, Graves.. I don't think I could have made it without you tonight." She reached out, and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
