He gave her a soft smile, his hair starting to turn blue, just slightly. "I will try precious." He swallowed, his heart fluttering gently. "I will try my hardest." He swallowed again and watched her carefully, wondering what she was going to do next.

Sarah couldn't help but grin wildly when Jareth's mouth finally crooked into a smile. She darted forward and placed a quick kiss on his lips, the event happening so quickly that she hadn't even realized it was happening until her mouth parted from his. "Thank you." she said, with a sigh of relief as if his smile alone had melted away all the troubles of the world. She didn't stop to thinking about how all of sudden she was caring about him. She didn't even stop to think about why she was feeling the way she was. She just simply crawled up next to him, curling her legs beneath her and nuzzling herself against his side, completely content to just lay there for however long he would permit her to.

Jareth blinked, everything was happening extraordinarily quickly between them. He was surprised that she had kissed him, and he was even more surprised when she curled up next to him. Jareth hummed and stroked her back gently, his head moving to rest on hers. This was heaven, absolute heaven.

Sarah sighed happily and closed her eyes at his touch, a warm blanket of happiness resting over her entire body. Whether it was his feeling or her own, she did not care. The sensation was marvelous and she didn't want to ruin it by over thinking things. She nuzzled closer to him, the warmth of his body and the softness of his hand on her back lulling her into a blissful state, close to drowsiness.

Jareth chuckled lightly. "Don't fall asleep precious." He summoned a crystal with his free hand and whispered into it before sending it floating off. "Now, you were wishing to get to know me more. Ask anything you like."

Sarah smiled against his chest, her arm wrapping tighter around him as she nuzzled closer. "I can't think of any questions right now." she said simply, her eyes remaining shut as she reveled in the scent and feeling of him holding her. You're going to get glitter all over yourself. She didn't care. If being covered in glitter was the price she had to pay for being as close to him as she could manage, she would happily accept that fate.

Jareth nodded and stroked her arm gently. "Would you like me to tell you about myself then? So that you can ask questions along the way?" He wanted her to know as much about him as possible, which was strange as he was typically a very private man.

Sarah slowly nodded without raising her head, allowing the movement against his side to signify her response to him. She sighed happily again, continuing to nuzzle against his side every few seconds, content to just be with him for however long he permitted.

Jareth sighed. Where should he start? "I'm the seventh child of the High King, I have five older brothers and one older sister as well." He half wondered how in depth he should go with his past. "I...I was forced to escape my childhood palace for many reasons, and when I did escape I was taken in by the goblins, and after they nursed me back to health and I helped them build an actual village they appointed me their king."

Sarah perked her head up only slightly. "Seven?! You are one of seven?!" she was in wonderment. She had never actually met someone with so many siblings before, and wondered what it would be like to have that many people in her family. She then shuddered at the very thought. Five more Toby's would probably drive me mad. She snapped back to reality and spoke again. "There are five more large men walking around shedding glitter?" she asked, her eyebrows cocked slightly.

Jareth chuckled and nodded. "Yes, seventh of seven." He stroked her side and allowed her to internally freak out over the number of siblings he had before he chuckled. "No, I'm afraid that I'm the only one who sheds glitter. All of my older brothers are very stern and serious." Jareth pulled a face. "I'm the only giant child in my family."

Sarah laid her head back on his torso, smiling and reveling in the fact that she had gotten the special one. "Oh," she said softly, squeezing him closer to him for a moment. "So, I'm the lucky girl that gets the unique child."
Where are these words even coming from? You didn't even like him an hour ago.
She didn't care. The voice in her head that was trying to get her to think reasonably was only beginning to annoy her. All she cared about was the fact that, as of this moment, she was happy.

Jareth chuckled. "I suppose I am the special one, yes." He pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head and hummed happily. "I do believe I got the special child as well, though Toby seems to have some characteristics that will aid him when he grows up." He nuzzled his head against Sarah and sighed happily as his hair changed to turquoise.

Sarah giggled and looked up into Jareth's face, not allowing her cheek to break contact from his body as her head moved. "He's a little cutie. My new attitude towards him is actually probably your fault." She gave him another smile and sat up a little, resting her head on Jareth's shoulder and cuddling his arm.

Jareth hummed and placed another kiss into her hair. "Yes I do suppose that getting a sibling stolen away would make you appreciate them a bit more." He turned to look at her. "You do realize that I would have returned him either way yes, and that I do not turn the children I take into goblins, yes?"
