Sarah nodded, still slightly confused about it all. "So," she began shifting on the bed. "You put me to sleep, then made a pretty dream land so you could talk to me?" She tilted her head to the side, her face twisted in another quizzical expression. "Why didn't you just talk to me like a normal person?"

He blinked. He hadn't thought of that before. Every single story he had heard of required the man to make a move, some grand romantic gesture to prove his love. "I actually..." He coughed and turned his head away in embarrassment. His hair started turning pink. "I actually hadn't thought of that to be honest."

As she listened to him speak, she began to realize that streaks of his hair had suddenly turned quite a bright shade of pink. At first she was a little startled, but then again she had seen him summon crystals from thin air, so she marked it as a normal thing for him. Sarah snickered to herself and tried to regain her composure before he realized she was laughing at him. "I see." she managed to say through her seemingly uncontrollable giggles.

Jareth scowled when he heard her laughter. "It's not funny." He muttered darkly. "I can't help it." When he regained some sense of composure he turned back to Sarah. "You wouldn't be laughing if your hair turned pink." He sighed. "Or if you sparkled uncontrollably."

Sarah chuckled a little louder now, trying her best to stop. "No, I would be jumping up and down with happiness. But, I'm a girl." She was trying so hard to stop laughing, but just the simple fact that a King was standing in her bedroom, trying his best to be serious with pink hair and a shimmery glow on his face was too much to bare.

Jareth grumbled to himself. "Yes, well. I'm not a girl." He muttered. "So it is a little off putting. Now, please stop laughing. You're only making it worse." He was right, his hair was turning a lovely shade of fuchsia as her laughter continued. He knew that he looked ridiculous, but he didn't need the love of his life pointing that out.

Sarah took a few deep breaths in between her giggles, keeping her gaze on the carpet in front of her so she could regain her composure. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'll stop. Hang on." She took a few more deep breaths, clearing her throat and placing a serious expression on her face. Once she was sure she was finished laughing, she turned her head back towards Jareth.
As her eyes locked onto his hair, however, the simple fact that the color had grown brighter made her burst into laughter again. The serious look on his face was not helping, and for all she knew she may never stop laughing. As she continued to wheeze oncontrollably she fell backwards onto the bed, clutching her chest and trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry. I just.....you look so cute!" she said, between bursts of laughter, the complexity of the phrase she had just uttered completely flying over her head.

He watched her laugh at him, the scowl on his face growing by the second until she spoke again. She thought he was cute? A bemused expression crossed his face, and the streaks in his hair shifted from pink to blue to pink again until they settled on a bright lavender color. "You what?" He murmured, watching her carefully, trying to see if she actually meant to say what she had said or not.

Sarah collected herself and the last sentence she had spoken can rushing into her consciousness. Her laughter was dying down now, small burst escaping her mouth as she sat up gently on the bed, leaning to one side and lounging over her comforter. She looked over at him and smiled, tiny bursts of laughter still protruding from her lips every couple seconds. "You're adorable." she said, glancing at his hair again, now a lovely shade of purple. Sarah wanted desperately not to laugh any more, her stomach in partial pain from all the laughter she had already succumb to, but the bright purple shade of his hair brought a large smile to her face again, her lips squeezing together to hold in her giggles.

He blinked. There it was again, another compliment from Sarah. "You think I'm adorable?" The pink finally faded from his hair, leaving the streaks a bright turquoise blue. No one had ever called him adorable before. Brat, yes. Bastard, yes. Occasionally he was called sexy, or handsome, but never adorable. While typically most grown men would be upset at being called something demeaning like cute or adorable, Jareth was absolutely reveling in it.

Sarah chuckled again as Jareth's streaked changed again, this time a bright blue. She flashed him another smile and shifted her position on the bed again, propping her head up on her own bent arm. "The fact that your hair is basically a moon ring is adorable." Seriously? You were terrified of this man like 5 seconds ago, and now you think he's cute. Being a teenager sucks.

Jareth grumbled under his breath. "Perhaps it is adorable to you but it is a bloody nuisance to live with. It completely ruins quite a few things, like diplomatic meetings, many conversations I have...the list goes on and on."

Sarah snickered a little bit more then stopped laughing, simply staring over at him, the hand supporting her head pressing into her cheek and pressing her face together in a rather odd way. "I'm sure it must be a hard thing to handle, being a king and all, but I think it's interesting that you can't hind what you're feeling. At least this way people know when you're truly being honest. And I'm guessing that the pink means you're embarrassed because it kept getting brighter the more upset you got. What other colors are there?"

Jareth sighed and thought for a few moments. "Blue, Black, Red, Orange, Purple, Green." He sighed and continued thinking. "Honestly anything that you can think of, there is an emotion linked to it." He shrugged. "You are right though, pink is embarrassment."

Sarah smiled with delight and sat up, moving to the side of the bed and allowing her feet to dangle off the side. She had found a new game, and she was very excited to play. At least this was one way she could get to know more about him. "Do you mind if I try to guess what the colors mean?"
