Jareth nodded and moved to sit back down, his hands held up in front of him. This way Sarah knew that he wasn't going to attack her or do anything rash. "Take your time precious." He summoned a crystal and started twirling it in front of him to pass the time.

Sarah remained standing there for a moment, her arms still stretched out in front of her. She watched him intently, waiting for some sort of large machine or small amount of trickery to come barreling towards her. "Alright." she said, dropping her hands. "Alright." She began to walk back and forth in the doorway, her hands moving about as she spoke. "You have a very large, very...." she glanced over at Jareth. "Shiny," she said, a little hesitation in her voice. "Problem. No big deal you can just wake up. Just wake up and everything will be fine just like it was before. Ok, now." she paused and stopping pacing. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Breathe. Relax."

Jareth chuckled at her words. "I can think of one thing that is very large." He turned his mismatched gaze towards her, a smirk deep on his face. "Though I don't think that's what you're talking about." He chuckled as she was starting to get drawn into his crystal juggling, though he knew that it was of no use. She was strong, and her gaze tracked away as she stopped pacing. "I will still be here when you've calmed down Sarah."

Sarah tried desperately to ignore Jareth's voice, her eyes tightly squeezed shut. After a few minutes, she heard nothing and sighed with relief before opening her eyes to find Jareth still sitting there. "Oh god. What?" she asked, letting her hands fall to her sides. "What do you want? Just spit it out so we can get this over with."

He blinked. "You really don't know?" All those theatrics for nothing, she really didn't understand. Jareth blinked and vanished the sphere he had been juggling. "I love you." He murmured. "I only want you." Perhaps she was too young to understand...

Sarah's eyes widened as he spoke. Love? He loves me? "Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah." She heled her hands out in front of her age. "What are you talking about?" She looked down at the ground and tried to think of more words to say. "I.....I don't even.....what?" She looked back over to him, wishing he would stop looking at her that way. "Look," she began, sighing before speaking again. "I'm just trying to pass 10th grade here. Plus, you were horrible to me in that labyrinth. Except for that weird dream I had." She stared at him and tilted her head to the side. "And you're like......old."

Jareth could physically feel his heart beginning to break. He was right, she was far too young to understand how he was feeling. "I just....I acted how you wanted me to!" He stood and stared at her, and a flash of lightening illuminated the night sky behind him. "You wanted a villain! I played the villain." He was hurt, and incredibly confused. He thought that he was clear as day. "Plus I am not that old." He muttered.

Sarah scoffed again and put her hands on her hips, on of them jotting out to the side as she shifted her weight to one leg. "I still have no idea what you're talking about. I said one little thing and the next thing I knew my brother was gone and I was following a short, lumpy man and being chased by..." she paused, trying to think of some way to describe machine that had chased after Hoggle and herself in the underground tunnel. "Some sort of.....death machine." She crossed her arms in front of her now and cocked her head to one side. "You act like we had some drawn out discussion like we were acting in a play."

Jareth snickered. "You read the book Sarah, you knew full well what you were doing. You wished your brother away." Another flash of lightning. "Besides, that is the cleaner, I have to use something to keep the oubliettes clean, and that is the best way to ensure they stay clean." He rolled his eyes. "You've read the book, you should have expected all of this."

Sarah let her arms fall, a shocked expression on her face. "Well excuse me for not understand that a fictional character would come and take my brother away! You may not realize this, but people don't normally have to worry about fairy tales and stories being true!" Sarah jumped a bit as the lightning stuck and became very annoyed. "Would you stop with the damned lightning!?"

Jareth stuck his tongue out at her and attempted to get control of his emotions. "You believed it, if you didn't I wouldn't have been able to come." He ran his hand through his hair. "You told your brother my story, and I know you believed it. I know you do Sarah."

Sarah stared at him blankly for a few seconds before raising both her hands beside her head and shaking it wildly, her eyes tightly closed. "That's not the point." Her hands made contact with her head, forcing it to stop shaking and each hand running down her face, smashing it together. "God you're aggravating."

Jareth snorted at the expression on Sarah's face. "I live to be aggravating." He shrugged. "It is what I do best." Jareth summoned another crystal. "And I think that it is the point Sarah. You wished that your brother was gone, and now you are dealing with the consequences."

Sarah opened her eyes and glared at him. "But I already dealt with the consequences. I have him back now." she said, motioning towards her parents room where Toby was sleeping. "Now it's supposed to be over. Or, at least, that's how it went in the book."

"The King of the Goblins fell in love with the girl." He muttered. "Or do you not remember?" He really did hate that little bit. He wished that she could just escape his brain as quickly as he obviously left hers. "Love is not something that can go away so easily." He practically spat the words out.
